Meet the team

Michelle Wolstenholme –
Co Owner and Manager

I’ve run a very successful childminding business from my home in Coventry for the last ten years. Having studied ‘early years education’ both at school and college, it was after having my first son, that pushed me to start my own business.

After house renovations, my house was reclassified as a nursery setting in 2016, but the dream has always been to own and manage a nursery; doing a job I love but on a bigger scale. Having 5 children of my own (and a dog!) my husband and I decided it was time to make our house a home again, and so, Tiddlers was born!

You’ll hear myself and the staff talk a lot about the ‘Curiosity Approach’ as a method of a child’s learning and development. This is an accreditation we are currently working towards at Tiddlers. As adults, we can be guilty of looking for a ‘finished product’ in a toy or learning resource. The curiosity approach is about nurturing a child’s vision so that items that serve no specific purpose, or no longer serve their original purpose can be turned into anything that you imagine or create them to be! Why can’t an old welly be turned into a plant pot, or an old tyre into a table? ! The team and I are passionate about this approach to learning and the children love it too.

I love my job; I love seeing children grow and develop into confident young little people, seeing their personalities blossom, and confidence shine. I look forward to welcoming you into our world!

Curiously yours

Michelle

Lisa Gadsby of Gadsby Training and Consultancy

I trained as NNEB ‘184’ years ago and continued to learn and develop my early knowledge working across a range of settings in the voluntary, maintained and private sector. I also hold a BA Hons in Early Childhood studies completed 17 years ago.
My knowledge is broad and I have many years of leadership and management experience. My passion is early years and children’s rights. My motivation is to improve, enhance and develop the services on offer to children with meaningful play at the heart of everything I do.
I have been delivering training and offering consultancy as a self-employed consultant for 16 years around ‘all things’ early years. I work with schools, nurseries, pre schools and childminders. My approach is enabling and empowering and I recognise that the highest level of impact happens when adults caring for children are well supported and respected.
On a personal level I am Mum to 2 teenage girls – this is the biggest challenge I face. I come to work with babies and children for a break!! It is my absolute pleasure and privilege to be working with Tiddlers. My role at Tiddlers is to work in partnership with Michelle, Karl and Gemma to further develop and maintain excellence. Tiddlers are the epitome of everything I believe in across early years and their curious approach to learning is one of my passions. My working relationship with tiddlers is living breathing proof of their commitment to high quality provision.
