Meet the team

Michelle Wolstenholme – Co-Owner and Manager

I’ve run a very successful childminding business from my home in Coventry for the last ten years. Having studied ‘early years education’ both at school and college, it was after having my first son, that pushed me to start my own business.

After house renovations, my house was reclassified as a nursery setting in 2016, but the dream has always been to own and manage a nursery; doing a job I love but on a bigger scale. Having 5 children of my own (and a dog!) my husband and I decided it was time to make our house a home again, and so, Tiddlers was born!

You’ll hear myself and the staff talk a lot about the ‘Curiosity Approach’ as a method of a child’s learning and development. This is an accreditation we are currently working towards at Tiddlers. As adults, we can be guilty of looking for a ‘finished product’ in a toy or learning resource. The curiosity approach is about nurturing a child’s vision so that items that serve no specific purpose, or no longer serve their original purpose can be turned into anything that you imagine or create them to be! Why can’t an old welly be turned into a plant pot, or an old tyre into a table? ! The team and I are passionate about this approach to learning and the children love it too.

I love my job; I love seeing children grow and develop into confident young little people, seeing their personalities blossom, and confidence shine. I look forward to welcoming you into our world!

Curiously yours

Level 6 Early Years Practitioner

Teaching children has always been a lifelong passion for me. I studied early years and graduated with a degree in 2012. I love creating inviting play opportunities and observing how children use their imagination to create their own learning experiences. There is nothing that makes me happier than to see a child enjoying their learning, enabling their development to blossom.

Being a mum myself, I understand the importance of finding a nursery to suit yours and your child’s needs and I feel that Tiddlers ticks both boxes as a mum and as an employee. I am truly excited to be a part of the Tiddler’s team!

Level 3 Early Years Practitioner

I’ve been working with Michelle for 3 years. I started my career in childcare education and completed my level 2 and level 3 childcare qualifications working in Michelle’s home setting.

Over the years, I have developed fantastic relationships with the children and their families. I love planning and creating new learning environments (sometimes using the simplest of objects and resources) so that each day the children have something new to explore. I’m very excited to continue doing so in a much more spacious setting at Tiddlers.

Level 2 Early Years Practitioner

I studied early years education at college and gained my level 2 qualification. I’ve been a part of the team for 6 months having started my apprenticeship within Michelle’s home setting which I thoroughly enjoy.

I look forward to continuing my development at Tiddlers nursery as I work towards my level 3 qualification.

Our beautiful environment supports independence and develops resilience
